Lava officially launched its new smartphone, Iris 406Q in India at Rs. 7,499. The device was listed on company's website on Wednesday & The phone is now listed for pre-order via online retailer Flipkart at Rs. 6,999. Lava says that device will be available across national retail chain stores by early next month.
The Lava Iris 406Q runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box that can be upgraded to Android 4.4 KitKat. It offers 3G dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) , a 4-inch display with WVGA (480x800 pixels) resolution. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU (Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 chipset) and Adreno 302 @400MHz GPU with 1GB of RAM. The Lava Iris 406Q gets a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and also a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera also.
The Iris 406Q comes with 4GB of inbuilt storage, and can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. It supports Bluetooth 4.0 LE, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, GPRS/ EDGE and 3G connectivity .
The Iris 406Q has a 1700mAh battery and measures 124x64x10.3mm.
Additionally the company claims that it has used the IML (in-mould labelling) for the back cover which makes it scratch-proof. Plus, the company promises Audio Plus software for high-end surround sound, 3D audio and wider bass on headphones.
Sounds like a powerpacked device to me.
Well this is the cheapest way to get the taste of Androids latest version KitKat.
And Im pretty sure this phone will get much attention from the buyers.
