About 10 days ago, WhatsApp introduced their "Read Receipts" feature (also known as "blue ticks update" lol) on their messenger apps for Android & iOS. Means the sender can now know if the receiver has read the messages or not.
Seems a good update for stalkers and parents! but for many of the 'normal' users, it became a topic of concern. Misunderstanding were imminent! It caused panic across the internet, also many memes were created on this topic.
But no worries now as WhatApp has added an option into the settings menu to disable “Read receipts” in its new update. (if you disable this option for yourself, then you too won’t be able to see if someone else reads your messages, works similar to 'last seen' feature)
This update is available for download from WhatsApp website whose link is given below (version 2.11.444) and would be available on the PlayStore soon.
